York, PA (May 2014) – CGA Law Firm is pleased to announce that attorney Leanne M. Miller has graduated from Leadership York’s Leadership Training Program (LTP). The graduation ceremony was held on May 21 at The York Jewish Community Center. This year’s class represented a wide variety of businesses, nonprofit organizations, and institutions from throughout York County.
Leanne M. Miller counsels individuals and families through life changing events that at times may be emotionally challenging and require legal representation. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, elder law and bankruptcy. In the community, she is a member of the board of directors for the York County Children’s Advocacy Center and PIRC. She is also a member of the York County Juvenile Probation Office – Red Lion Youth Aid Panel.
LTP is a nine-month, experiential course that educates participants about York County history and community issues. Participants discover their style and learn to work effectively with others by fine-tuning their leadership skills, enhancing their knowledge, and receiving guidance in choosing and applying for a board, elected, or appointed position. LTP provides access to additional opportunities for partnerships and new business relationships.
Leadership York’s mission is to train and support individuals who have the desire to serve the York community in leadership positions. The organization was founded in 1978 and boasts over 2,700 graduates from its six programs. Those graduates provide leadership to over 200 nonprofit organizations and serve thousands of constituents in state and local government. York, PA (May 2014) – For a ninth consecutive year, attorney Lawrence V. Young has been selected by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as one of the top bankruptcy attorneys in the state, an honor in which no more than 5 percent of the lawyers receive in the state. We are also pleased to announce that attorney Andrew M. Paxton has been selected to the 2014 list of Rising Stars. He is one of only 20 consumer bankruptcy specialist throughout the Commonwealth to be certified by the American Board of Certification. He is also one of the two Trustees appointed by the U.S. Department of Justice to review all consumer bankruptcy filings for the Middle District of Pennsylvania that originate from York and Adams counties. In 2013, Young was recognized by the York County Bar Association with the Outstanding Member Award.
Andrew M. Paxton, a shareholder with CGA Law Firm and chair of the business law practice group, is a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and businesses providing counsel through all stages of operations from starting a business, to financing, protecting intellectual property, obtaining licensing, expanding the business, to successfully exiting when the time is right. As a business advisor, he also provides businesses with innovative strategies on tax planning, financing, drafting and reviewing contracts, and real estate transactions.
