York, PA (January 2009) – CGA Law Firm has admitted attorney Benjamin L. Pratt as a shareholder. “Ben is an extremely talented and dedicated attorney. We are fortunate that he has chosen to practice among us at CGA, “ said Sharon E. Myers, firm President.
Ben’s legal practice focuses on labor, employment and construction law. He represents public school districts, municipalities and businesses on labor relations, collective bargaining, grievances and arbitration. Ensuring his clients are compliant with state and federal labor and employment regulations he provides on-site training on union avoidance, workplace harassment, hiring, discipline and discharge. He also advises his clients on new and pending legislation that will impact them including the family medical leave act and the ADA amendments act. He regularly performs human resource audits on his clients to ensure their policies and employee handbooks are in compliance.
He is a frequent speaker on topics including the employee free choice act, collective bargaining, arbitration, labor relations, and employee policies and manuals. Most recently he was a presenter for the Manufactures Association of South Central Pennsylvania on the proposed employee free choice act.
