CGA represents public entities, such as municipalities and school districts, in various capacities. Our attorneys serve as general counsel and as special counsel to public entities and have represented them in federal court, state court, and in administrative proceedings. CGA provides advice in such areas as drafting of contracts and agreements, arbitrations, budget appeals, construction matters, Open Public Meetings Act disputes, contract negotiations, bid questions, land use and zoning issues, including enforcement and appeals, special education matters, student disciplinary matters, increment withholdings, tenure revocations, reduction in staff, and other matters.

       The attorneys in the CGA municipal law practice group follow developments in state law closely through numerous avenues. Memberships are held in the municipal law section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as the Pennsylvania Borough Solicitor's Association and the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs. Additional memberships have been secured for Township matters. Further, we regularly attend seminars on municipal topics, both on a state and local level, and subscribe to several municipal law publications.
