Welcome, Rebecca Mendez!
Rebecca moved to York, Pennsylvania from her childhood home in the Bronx, New York. Growing up in a popular destination that included the Yankees Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Botanical Gardens, she was used to the fast-pace of an active metropolis. She was attracted to the serenity and peacefulness that could be found in our rolling landscapes dotted with animals and farms.
As someone who likes caring for and helping people, Rebecca began her career in the hospitality industry. She worked at the front desk of a local hotel and it was her job to greet guests as they arrived, guide them through check-in and check-out, and respond to questions and special requests. She was proud to give exceptional customer service. After several years she was offered a management position in the beauty industry and became a Cosmetic Counter Manager at the Galleria Mall. Her favorite aspect of this work was care of her clients.
Rebecca decided to move away from sales and applied her strong people skills to a position at Pennsylvania Counseling Service. People are often frustrated when they are required to receive counseling and she worked hard to brighten their spirits and make them feel more positive about the experience. On many occasions, she was told that she was the highlight of a client’s day.
During the Pandemic, Rebecca thought about her skills and her care for the community. She had always wanted to work for a law firm and is delighted to work for a company that is so committed to making the community better for all. She researched the company before she applied and was attracted by the level of service and the fact that so many employees stay for decades.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys going for walks, shopping, watching movies with her boyfriend, and caring for her 5 cats. Her favorite subject in school were global history and she loved sports (especially baseball, flag football, volleyball, and softball).
Please give Rebecca a big, warm CGA welcome!
