CGA Law Firm Paralegal; Deb Werner

Although she began her CGA career on the Real Estate legal team, Deb found herself in Estate Planning when a long-time employee announced their retirement plans. While working in Estate Planning, Deb discovered she had an interest and aptitude for the work in this practice area.

In Estate Planning, Deb assists attorneys in preparing trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, as well as meeting with clients. In the Real Estate department, she helps with agricultural conservation easements, which protect tracts of land from development.

Deb enjoys the workload because she has always squeezed diverse and interesting activities into her schedule. During high school at West York, she played the flute in the marching band and competed in tennis for the school team. Deb was part of the backstage crew for high school musicals and volunteered in the community at the SPCA and Country Meadows Retirement Community.

After graduating from high school, Deb attended York College of Pennsylvania with a focus on education. When she lost her father, Deb shifted her focus to art and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Millersville University. Although Deb has always favored her math, computer keyboarding and science classes in high school and college, her true passion is art.

When she graduated from Millersville, she knew she wanted a career that improved people’s lives. She worked in dog care services and also completed coursework to earn an esthetician license. A close friend recommended that she consider a career in law at CGA. When there was a job opening, she applied. She was interviewed and hired soon after. That was a great decision by CGA!

In her free time, Deb enjoys practicing yoga, crafting, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family.

We are so proud to have Deb as part of our team and congratulate her on this significant milestone!
