CGA Law Firm is excited to have Central York High School senior, Quinn Arnold, interning with us this fall! Quinn plans to major in political science before attending law school. She is attracted to the study of law because she believes that law reflects and impacts culture and she believes that working in the legal system provides opportunities to impact the lives of individuals and businesses in our community. She has chosen to study Political Science since she understands that government makes the laws that the legal system upholds. Quinn is currently in the process of applying to universities that include several Pennsylvania schools and others in the Northeast.
Born in York Hospital, Quinn has attended Central York School since Kindergarten. Although she enjoys all her studies, her favorite classes in high school are her English courses and a law class she took last year. This year’s English classes include rhetorical analysis, argumentative, and synthesis essays, which all seem like excellent preparation for law school. Quinn particularly enjoyed her law class because of the project-based learning. She was fascinated by her study of Kalief Browder and the criminal justice system.
In high school, Quinn receives excellent grades and is active in the Science Olympiad, Future Business Leaders, and National Honor Society. The Science Olympiad program is one of the premier science competitions in America. The teams of 15 students compete in 23 events from various scientific fields. Her favorite competitive event was the Ping Pong Parachute in which she and a colleague had to design, build, and launch a parachute contraption to keep a ping pong ball in the air for the longest time.
In her spare time, Quinn is the Service Outreach Chair, assists with Parent-Teacher Conferences, volunteers for the Children’s Aid Society, and at Road Runner Races. She has two younger brothers (aged 16 and 13), and has three dogs (a labradoodle, Yorkie bichon, and a mini Aussiedoodle).
Please give Quinn a warm CGA welcome!
