Frank H. Countess was elected Chair of the Board of Directors for the York Country Day School. Frank was named one of the 300 Life Members of the York County Agricultural Society, which runs the York State Fair, the oldest state fair in the United States founded in 1765. Frank was also recently appointed to his third successive 4-year term on the York City Redevelopment Authority Board by Mayor Michael J. Helfrich and the York City Council, and was also elected to his second 4-year term on the York County Land Bank Authority Board of Directors by the York County Commissioners.
Margaret “Mieke” Driscoll was recently recognized with the honorary title, Emeritus WITF Board Member. Mieke also serves on the Boards of the York County Community Foundation, the York Symphony Orchestra, and the York County Food Bank.
Judge John Kennedy (retired) has been reappointed to the Advisory Board of the Pennsylvania Association of Treatment Court Professionals. He also serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Committee on Corrections.
Sydney Kessler-Appell, Marketing Specialist, recently joined the Board for York Young Professionals (YYP) as the Events Chair and the Board for Theatre Arts for Everyone (TAFE).
Devon Myers Kolomick is the new Chair of the CGA Law Firm Municipal Law Practice Group.
Zachary E. Nahass is the incoming President of the Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams Counties. He also serves as a Director on the Boards of Children’s Home of York, York Day Early Learning, and the York Art Association.
Hunter B. Schenck was elected to the York County Bar Association (YCBA) Board of Directors; she also serves on the YCBA Continuing Legal Education and Membership committees. She recently joined the Board of The Grotto, which promotes the development of small businesses and the arts by providing co-working space. Hunter is a member of the Herbert Cohen Inn of Court and a Past Chair of the York County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. For the third consecutive year, Hunter is ranked as a Super Lawyer Rising Star. Hunter is also the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Young Lawyers Division liaison to the PBA Legal Ethics & Professional Responsibility committee, a member of the Penn State Law Alumni Board, life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, founding member of the Penn State York Women’s Philanthropic Network, and the Second Vice Regent for the Colonel James Smith – Yorktown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Craig S. Sharnetzka has been named CGA Law Firm President. Craig has served on the Executive Committee for ten years.
Judge John Uhler (retired) was appointed to the Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee of Truancy Procedures in Pennsylvania Schools. He is also a member of the Crispus Attucks Board, the York County Bar Foundation, and Downtown Rotary’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) Committee. Judge Uhler was recognized by the York Daily Record as one of the most influential attorneys in Central Pennsylvania.
