CGA Law Firm is pleased to announce the election of Stephen R. McDonald, Esq. to shareholder. Stephen has been practicing law for over 25 years and has acquired extensive experience in multiple areas. He is a seasoned attorney in both civil litigation and criminal defense. Well versed in municipal law, Stephen serves as the solicitor for multiple municipalities in South Central Pennsylvania, and the York County Clerk of Court’s Office. He often represents clients in front of zoning hearing boards and other municipal and local government entities. 

Prior to joining CGA, Stephen worked at the Office of the District Attorney for York County, where he spent years prosecuting in jury trials. Before that, he was the president of a title company, where he handled thousands of real estate transactions. His work leading the title company gave him a thorough knowledge of title, contracts, assessments, and easements that has benefited his real estate clients.  

Stephen earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Maryland. Stephen is currently a member of the York County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.

Stephen R. McDonald is Chair of the Litigation Group, a Shareholder at CGA Law Firm, and a seasoned litigator with a wide-ranging background of legal experience spanning over twenty-five years. Since joining CGA, he has been involved in litigation in such diverse areas as automobile and property insurance, real property, construction contracts, estate and inheritance claims among others.
