Claudia L. DeArment

Overview
Claudia DeArment has devoted four decades to family law guiding individuals and families throughout York County and Red Lion, PA through some of life’s most personal legal moments. Whether considering a prenuptial agreement, or navigating the complexities of divorce, child custody, or child support, she has the experience and steady presence to help clients move forward.
Claudia earned her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law and her undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science from Dickinson College. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph E. Erb, York County Court of Common Pleas, a beginning that launched a 40-year practice defined by a deliberate commitment to family advocacy.
Admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Claudia is a mainstay in the Pennsylvania and York County Bar Associations. As a Court Ordered Custody Mediator, she is known for finding resolutions that prioritize the well-being of families and children. Her dedication to the community also includes serving as an elected Judge of Elections for Springettsbury Township.
Originally from Lewistown, Claudia has called York home for decades. She and her husband Dale are avid hikers who climbed Mount Katahdin in Maine on their honeymoon and went back to do it again on their 20th anniversary. When she is not in the office, Claudia is likely out on her bicycle, camping, lost in a good book, or cooking a meal for anyone who pulls up a chair at her table.
