47th Annual Oyster Festival

October 17, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Each October the York County History Center celebrates its Colonial heritage by hosting an Oyster Festival in downtown York, PA. The inspiration for the History Center’s longest-running fundraiser began with the discovery of oyster shells during the archaeological dig behind the Golden Plough Tavern in the 1960s.

This year the History Center is determined to hold this community-loved event. Due to supply chain issues and vendor employee shortages, this year’s Oyster Festival is going to look a bit different. Since we know how much Yorkers love their oysters, the History Center decided to partner with Rockfish Public House to offer oysters and other tasty foods for pick up. Order pickup will be at the Valencia Ballroom, 142 North George Street, York, PA.

Oyster Festival Reimagined will be held on October 17, 2021. Pick-up times will be available from 11 am to 2 pm. Items must be pre-ordered no later than October 14, 2021, 9:00 am, there will be no walk-up or day of sale orders. You may place your order online below or you can call your order into the History Center at 717-848-1587, extension 301.
