Silhouettes of Service Written and performed by Gregory DeCandia Winner of the 2016 Community Impact Award from UNC-Chapel Hill, Silhouettes of Service is a 75-minute solo verbatim theatre piece derived from 26 interviews of soldiers from World War II to the present, and it includes accounts from NC Vietnam Vets Inc., Fort Bragg, and UNC’s ROTC program. The play’s central story focuses on the five-year relationship between Adam and Luke, but it is not your typical love story. This timely and compelling new American play forces us all to examine what it means to “believe” and what it might cost us not to.
