Start Time: 12 pm President Eisenhower established the first Law Day in 1958 to celebrate the nation’s commitment to the rule of law. The YCBA holds an annual luncheon to help promote public understanding and respect for the law. The YCBA also holds an essay and bookmark contest for middle and high school students to help them think about current local and legal issues. At the luncheon, the winners of the contests are announced and someone from the legal community is honored with the Liberty Bell Award.
