Affordable Housing Advocates is one of the first non-profit housing development corporations in York County. The organization was created to provide much-needed affordable and quality housing for York’s low-income residents and has proudly served York County for over 50 years.

“In my Bankruptcy practice, a lot of what I do is help people stay in their homes, saving them from foreclosure, and working with them and the mortgage company to resolve my clients’ mortgage payment delinquency,” says Rohrbaugh. “One of the reasons I am so passionate about doing that is because rent is often much higher than a typical mortgage payment, and if my clients lose their homes, they may not have anywhere else to go. By being involved with AHA, I can also assist those who seek help from our organization to find an affordable, warm, and safe place to live.”

Haley is a York County Bar Association member and the Young Lawyers section. She works closely with Mid Penn Legal Services to offer pro bono representation for low-income families. Haley was honored with a Pro Bono Recognition award from the York County Bar Association for her work with pro bono clients in 2017 and 2022. Haley is an associate member of the York Builders Association and a 2023 Leadership York Training program graduate. She serves on several committees, including the planning committee for the York County Estate Planning Council, the Bylaws committee for the York County Bar Association, and the fund development committee for Affordable Housing Advocates.

“I especially have a passion for the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population– those working full-time yet still struggling to support themselves and their families,” offered Rohrbaugh. “What we do here in York County is very unique, and the need for affordable housing is honestly way too big for our organization to handle alone. By joining the Board, I hope to bring more awareness to our community’s needs, and I hope to positively impact York families in need during my term on the Board and beyond.”

Haley Rohrbaugh is an attorney with CGA Law Firm with extensive years of legal experience in both Florida and Pennsylvania. She joined the bankruptcy law group at CGA in 2010, primarily focusing on Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, although she also assists clients in business formation, representation, and estate law.
